The amazing Recruitment and Retention Support Team Planned Care are looking to appoint an Associate Clinical Educator to join an existing successful small team to continue to provide the superb pastoral support and care that the workers at NNUH deserve!
This post will continue to support the amazing and well-regarded service that the team has provided and developed over the last few years. We are looking for a dedicated, caring individual who can provide help, support and guidance to our Healthcare Support Workers across Planned Care.
A central part of this role will be to help educate and empower Healthcare Support Workers in progressing towards and gaining their Care Certificate and Band 3 Competency Pathway as well as being a point of contact as new HCSW’s find their feet. Experience in supporting Healthcare Support Workers and knowledge of the requirements of both the Care Certificate qualification and Band 3 Pathway Competency to help support staff in gaining these would be highly beneficial.
This position is a key part of Planned Care and the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital’s dedication to caring for and supporting our staff through both recruitment and retention initiatives. Your role will be working as part of a small, tight-knit team with a particular focus on retention, recruitment and pastoral care and support to HCSW’s in their clinical working environment. You should be able to provide a friendly, welcoming, yet knowledge and understanding point of contact for Healthcare Support Workers across Planned Care in all specialties. You will be required to visit and assist new starters within their home wards/clinical areas and help them settle in, learn skills and work towards their Care Certificate and completion of the Band 3 Pathway Competency document. You will be required to attend recruitment events both internally and external to the NNUH, representing the Team and NNUH. The postholder will be expected to liaise and work alongside both colleagues in Unplanned Care Team and Practice and Development and Education Team.
