The Role
Joining our transforming business, as a Learning and Development Manager, you will lead the local L&D agenda, collaborating with Management and HR to identify development needs and deliver engaging solutions using blended approaches. Technology plays a key role in our future, and we are excited about evolving with these opportunities.
You will focus on developing our line managers’ fundamental people management skills and ensuring core skills across operational teams. You will assess and develop plans aligned with the national L&D strategy and implement the annual L&D plan, managing processes via the Learning Management System (LMS).
You will contribute to designing learning solutions, working with Content Designers and business teams to ensure effective methodologies and consistent standards. You will coach and develop operational skills trainers, ensuring high standards and consistency, and develop junior talent, including apprentices, to build an internal pipeline.
This role covers several bakeries and depots, requiring regular travel. Building close stakeholder relationships across multiple sites is essential for managing the learning agenda effectively.

* Knowledge of the learning cycle and its implementation
* Understanding of adult learning theories and accelerated learning techniques
* Experience with Learning Technologies and blended solutions
* Knowledge of management development theories and practices
* Flexibility to work across multiple locations; a driving license is required
* Full UK Driving License
