About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for supervising a team of warehouse operatives, managing workloads, and maintaining a high standard of operational performance in line with company targets and KPIs.
About You
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team, including goods in, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
* Allocate workloads and monitor staff performance to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements (e.g., COSHH, manual handling).
* Provide training, support, and coaching to new and existing staff.
* Monitor and manage stock levels and inventory accuracy.
* Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
* Liaise with transport teams, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
* Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency.
* Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Support the Warehouse Manager with any additional duties as required.
Essential
Person Specification:
* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Good understanding of warehouse procedures, including inventory control and stock management.
* Familiarity with health and safety standards.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Competent in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
