Executive Officer in Lewes - £15.41ph (PAYE) - Reference: 366973
Duration: 3 to 6 months
Responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate with the SRF Executive Delivery Manager to set objectives aligned with National Resilience Standards for Local Resilience Forums (LRF) and other strategies. Develop implementation plans and work with SRF partners, government departments, and agencies to deliver these plans through strong relationships and collaboration.
2. Oversee the SRF Governance system and support arrangements. Ensure continuous improvement through self-assessment, peer reviews, and independent validation. Manage meeting records, discussions, actions, decisions, document retention, security, and data sharing.
3. Develop and recommend information sharing standards to assist partners and the public on Resilient Direct. Seek continuous improvement by engaging with Regional LRFs.
4. Manage incoming information and correspondence for the SRF, make decisions, prepare responses, and brief senior stakeholders on high-risk issues.
5. Lead horizon scanning across Sussex, update the weekly Sussex Commonly Recognised Information Picture (SCRIP), chair related meetings, and share updates with partners.
6. Respond flexibly to emergency events, participate in multi-agency groups, and support the development of the Common Operating Picture (COP) and reporting requirements.
7. Organise training, exercises, conferences, and travel arrangements efficiently and cost-effectively.
8. Provide secretariat support for meetings and events, including incident management meetings.
