Job Title: IT Support Engineer
Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 PLUS 30 Days Holiday rising with service, Vendor Certifications / Qualifications, Private Pension, Private Healthcare, Pool Cars / Vans
We are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a well established, innovative Managed Service Provider in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers and end‑users, troubleshoot problems, and maintain a high level of service delivery. In addition to this, you will get involved in exciting project work and visit customer sites.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and assistance to customers and end‑users, via both onsite and remote support
* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
* Provide training and technical advice to customers and end‑users
* Create and maintain technical documentation
* Monitor system performance and ensure system security
* Participate in the implementation of new systems and technologies
* Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements
* Experience within an MSP environment is a plus
* Technical Knowledge of Windows Server, Networking, and Virtualization Technologies such as Hyper‑V or VMWare
* Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and other cloud technologies
* Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
* Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
