CJP Broadcast, a leading provider of virtual production systems, broadcast integration, and media digitisation, seeks a skilled and experienced support technician to join our team known for their technical expertise, creative problem solving, and commitment to our clients.
In this hands-on role, you'll support both internal staff and a diverse client base across broadcast, corporate, education, and sports sectors, helping them create, manage, and preserve content with confidence. Your day-to-day work will span core IT support, documentation, and system maintenance, while also contributing to engineering prep, studio demos, and the cutting-edge virtual production solutions CJP is known for. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical literacy, a practical mindset, and a desire to grow across IT, media technology, supporting the latest broadcast and virtual production systems, within an innovative, fast-moving team.
As an Armed Forces Covenant member veterans and their immediate family members who have relevant experience with Military training in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (e.g. Avionics, Telecommunications Engineer, AV Signals Regt) will be offered an interview.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide basic day-to-day IT support to internal staff and remote workers
• Maintain and update technical documentation and support logs in collaboration with head of support
• Create and maintain customer support portals and asset registers in collaboration with head of support
• Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues for clients, passing on to relevant specialists as needed.
• Manage user accounts and access (Office 365, SharePoint, 1Password)
• Support internal firewall and network infrastructure (Ubiquiti)
• Support engineering team in basic in office prefabrication and preparation task such as testing equipment prior to shipping and creating custom cable looms.
• Assisting in running pre-made demos in a film/broadcast studio, collaborating with sales and the rest of the technical team
Essential Qualifications
• Diploma with 3+ years' experience in IT, electrical engineering, media, tech or similar
• Full Clean UK driving licence
• Strong technical literacy, problem-solving abilities and strength in learning new systems and software
• Fluent in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in technical field engineering role
Desirable Skills & Experience
• Experience with Unreal Engine or real-time 3D environments
• Practical camera skills and/or audio recording experience
• Background in game development, graphic design, videography, or photography
• Familiarity with media production tools (OBS, vMix, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe CC)
• Understanding of media formats, codecs, and asset workflows
• Experience with AV systems, LED walls, and virtual production setups
• Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Awareness of Cyber Essentials and GDPR principles
• Knowledge of web development including HTML
Desirable Practical Skills
• Confident with Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a Ethernet cabling: termination, testing, fault-finding
• Experience with fibre optic cabling: patching, cleaning, basic testing
• Familiarity with coaxial cabling: BNC connectors and broadcast signal routing
• Skilled in AV/IT rack building: cable management, power distribution, labelling
• Understanding of signal flow: SDI, HDMI, NDI, Dante
• Use of hand tools and test equipment (cable testers, mustimeters, crimpers)
• Basic electrical safety awareness

• PASMA – Safe use of mobile access towers
• IPAF 1a / 1b / 3a / 3b – Mobile elevated work platforms
• Manual Handling Certification
• Working at Height Awareness

Working Conditions
• Full-time role based at CJP HQ
• Standard working hours with occasional flexibility
• Mileage reimbursement if using own vehicle
• Move to flexible hybrid working upon completion of training assuming ability to come to the office in critical condition faults
