Villiers Hotel is a spectacular 18th Century 49-bedroom hotel situated in the heart of the historic market town of Buckingham. Villiers has undergone a major refurbishment to all front of house areas and The Old Town Hall which provides all the meeting, serviced offices and function space. We are looking for a reliable and professional Night Porter to join our team. As the face of the business during overnight hours, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our guests. This position is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and committed to providing excellent customer service. Hours - 40 hpw working night shifts. Key Responsibilities: Welcoming late-arriving guests and assisting with check-ins and check-outs Ensuring the security of the premises, including regular patrols Responding promptly to guest requests and queries Setting up breakfast areas or preparing for morning service Handling basic cleaning and maintenance tasks Managing phone calls and administrative duties during the night shift Reporting any incidents or issues to management Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and remain alert during night hours Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude Basic IT skills Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
