Cleaning Team Member
Responsible to: Cleaning Supervisor
Rewards package: Salary Scale 2
Access to Government Pension Scheme and 30 Days Annual Leave
Key responsibility: To be responsible for the cleaning to included but not limited to, offices, work rooms, corridors and toilets and any other designated areas, including all fixtures and fittings.
Principal Duties:
1.To ensure cleaning is carried out in accordance with the cleaning schedule
2.To replenish consumables in toilets, i e, toilet rolls, soap, sanitary towels and disposable bags
3.Operate scrubber / dryer, stream cleaner and other associated cleaning equipment when necessary
4.To report any defects in furniture, fittings or fabric of the buildings,
5.To report unlocked doors, lights and equipment left switched on
6.Adhere to a locked door policy after cleaning
7.Cleaning and security of cleaning rooms
8.To assist in the periodic deep clean process
9.To undertake any emergency cleaning duties required, either internal or external on any college site
10.To observe and comply with the procedures laid down in the employment training manual for Estates – Campus Services
11.To assist with College recycling and waste disposal initiatives
12.To work in co-operation with other Estates Team members
13.To report any suspicious persons or packages without detriment to personal safety

2.To display the B&FC values at all times and positively promote them
3.To take responsibility for the promotion of the health, safety, well being and mental wealth of self and others
4.To actively support B&FC commitments on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
5.To pursue the achievement and integration of equality, diversity and inclusion, through widening participation in all B&FC activities
6.To actively support, and appropriately engage with the ‘One College’ ethos to promote positive student behaviour across B&FC
7.To be proactive in identifying and pursing opportunities that are appropriate to maintaining your own professional development, and to positively engage in the B&FC performance review scheme and all relevant training
8.To maintain the confidentiality and security of information and data at all times9.Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post
