This is Alexander Faraday Recruitment are excited to be working with a leading retail business to recruit a Category Planner for a 12-month temporary assignment on a hybrid basis. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where you’ll support a key product category (beauty) and play a central role in driving commercial performance. The Role * Analyse sales vs stock to identify trends, risks and opportunities * Produce trade reports, promotional analysis and insights * Support SKU set-up, pricing and promotional activity * Assist with range planning and product lifecycle management * Manage elements of the critical path to ensure smooth launches * Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing and suppliers * Handle category queries and reporting requests About You * Experience in Category Planning, Merchandising, Buying Admin or similar * Background in a head office retail environment with high SKU volumes * Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) * High attention to detail * Confident communicator – able to build relationships and challenge when needed * Experience with systems like SAP is advantageous If you enjoy working with data, thrive in a busy retail environment, and want to develop your category experience—this is a great opportunity to step up
