Job Title: Accounts Assistant / Trainee Accountant Salary: £25,000–£26,500 (DOE) | Full-Time | AAT Study Support Available Location: Ware Contract: Full time, permanent, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm What You’ll Be Doing as a Trainee Accountant / Accounts Assistant You’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting and payroll functions, including: * Performing bank and payroll reconciliations * Managing the sales ledger and credit control processes * Carrying out nominal ledger analysis * Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts * Checking and processing net wage payments * Providing ad-hoc administrative support (emailing, scanning, filing, clerical duties) * Taking on other finance and office tasks as needed to support the team This role offers exceptional exposure and a genuine chance to grow your skill set quickly. Who We’re Looking For We value attitude and ambition just as much as experience. The ideal candidate will be: * Confident, adaptable, and eager to develop within a professional finance environment * An AAT studier, or someone keen to begin their AAT journey (full study support provided!) * A clear and professional communicator with a positive, proactive approach * Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel experience essential) * Familiarity with Sage is a bonus, but not essential * Previous accounting or office experience is helpful—but not essential.
