You will have opportunities to develop digital processes enhancing engineering design, work closely with technical experts, and potentially become a regional contact for Surface Water Management and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS). Mentoring graduate engineers and liaising with key clients will be part of your role.
We seek an engineer experienced in drainage and SUDS, with interests in planning, ecology, landscape architecture, environmental economics, digital tools, and sustainability. While expertise in all areas isn't required, interest in some is essential. Responsibilities:
1. Producing drainage infrastructure design packages.
2. Assisting in developing drainage solutions on multidisciplinary projects.
3. Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and safety/environmental standards.
4. Managing projects and designs to deliver on time and within budget.
5. Delivering technical presentations to showcase AtkinsRéalis' SUDS expertise.
6. Preparing financial and technical proposals.
7. Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
8. Coordinating with other disciplines and site teams.
Requirements:
* Chartered status (ICE or CIWEM).
* Experience in drainage design, including SUDS.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic modelling (Microdrainage or Civils 3D preferred).
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and budget.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Interest in developing innovative, sustainable solutions.
Desirable:
* Experience in Design & Build environments.
* Experience working on multidisciplinary projects.
* Commercial awareness.
* Leadership and client relationship skills.
* Knowledge of BIM and digital design processes.
