Due to an internal promotion within our Nature School at our Nursery at Poppleton, we are looking for a Deputy Room Leader to work as part of the leadership team, supporting our existing Room Leaders in providing exceptional childcare within our Nursery. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress from the Practitioner level (min. Level 3).
About The Role
As a Deputy Room Leader at Muddy Boots, you will help to lead a team to ensure that all children receive high-quality care and support, are kept safe, and receive rich and stimulating play experiences that meet their individual learning needs, all whilst having a tonne of fun every day!

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
For this role, we require you to have:
* A relevant Early Years Qualification
* Over 1 year of experience working in an Early Years / Nursery setting (essential)
* Over 1 year of experience working in a childcare environment (preferred)

* A full-time role, which is 38 hours per week spread across 4 full days and a set day off each week (part-time hours will also be considered)
* Pay rate £13.30 to £13.70 per hour (21yrs+) - to be increased from 1st April 2026

About Muddy Boots Nursery
Since opening our doors in January 2012, with only a few team members and a handful of children, we have continually worked to build day nurseries with a strong family ethos and home-from-home feel, which have now been enjoyed by over 1000 families and counting.
