Class 1 Driver – Scunthorpe (DN16) – Monday to Friday
Location: Scunthorpe, DN16
Role: HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E)
Job Type: Perm from day one
Shifts: Monday to Friday (Days)
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays available
Pay Rates
* £45,292 per annum
* £21.52 per hour – after 52.5 hours
* Saturday Overtime: £25.50 per hour
* £175 bonus Per Month - Based on attendance, no accidents, infringements etc
(30-minute break deducted daily)
The Role – Class 1 Steel Driver
We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a well-established steel distribution operation based in Scunthorpe.
This role involves delivering steel products to customers across the UK, working with a modern fleet and well-organised transport team.
Duties include:
* Delivering steel products to commercial and industrial sites
* Securing loads safely using ratchet straps and chains
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing paperwork
* Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
* Adhering to driver hours, tachograph, and health & safety regulations
* Tramping, 3 - 4 nights out per week
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
* Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience
* Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
* Maximum 6 points (no major endorsements)
* Experience with flatbed or steel work is necessary
* Comfortable with load securing (strapping/chaining)
* Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
