We’re looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and relentlessly positive Challenge Events Fundraising Lead to take our challenge events to the next level – creating powerful, inspiring experiences that connect supporters to our cause and raise vital income for Willen Hospice.

What you’ll do:

* ✅Lead and grow our challenge fundraising programme, delivering exciting, innovative experiences that attract new supporters and engage our community.
* ✅Create and deliver a vibrant mix of challenges — from third‑party events to bespoke and virtual activities — that inspire participation and diversify income.
* ✅Deliver outstanding supporter journeys, full of motivation, personalconnectionand brilliant stewardship.
* ✅Manage,coachand empower two Fundraising Executives, helping them thrive in a matrix working model across the wider Community and Events fundraising team.
* ✅Collaborate across Fundraising, Marketing andSupporterEngagementteams to drive long‑term loyalty, cross‑sellopportunitiesand upgrade potential.
* ✅Use CRM insight and data to plan activity, target audiences, evaluate success and continuously improve.
* ✅Build brilliant relationships with challenge organisers, suppliers,volunteersand partners–ensuring participants feel part of something special.
* ✅Champion safety,qualityand operational excellence, ensuring all events are well‑managed,compliantand supporter‑focused.


We’re looking for someone who is:

* A natural people person who loves motivating others
* Experienced in challenge fundraising, events or supporter engagement.
* Highly organised, calm under pressure and great at juggling multiple deadlines.
* Creative and curious – always looking for new challenge ideas and supporter led innovations.
* Insight driven, confident using CRM or event platforms to guide decisions.
* A supportive team leader, coach and role model.
* Passionate about delivering unforgettable supporter experiences that fuel our mission.

Please note this role requiresoccasionalevening and weekend work. A fulldriver’slicense and access to a vehicle isrequired.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care in the Milton Keynes area. We offer round‑the‑clock, expert care to local patients with a life‑limiting illness, both in their own homes and in our In‑Patient Unit. Our passionate staff and volunteers make sure our care is personalised to each patient’s needs and supports their loved ones too. We have a thriving Therapeutic & Wellbeing service providing counselling, physiotherapy, activity groups and more, and a specialist Lymphoedema service. As a registered charity, we raise vital funds through our dedicated Business Development team and our growing portfolio of high street and online shops, to ensure our care stays free of charge.
