Responsibilities
* Ensure store is open for business as per company trading hours and customers are served quickly and professionally whilst providing excellent customer service.
* Manage stock, maximise sales, ensure product availability, merchandising and promotions within the store.
* Manage KPI's, control wage costs, manage waste along with stock and cash shortages.
* Oversee retail sale of alcohol and implement challenge 25.
* Recruit and manage the performance of your team, ensuring they are trained to the correct level for their role.
* Complete the daily back office paper-work and banking, ensuring it is completed accurately within the allocated timelines.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the store and forecourt.
* Manage fuel stocks, ensuring fuel deliveries are handled safely and legally to meet the needs of the business and in line with petroleum regulations.
* Implement company policies and procedures to ensure the store operates in a safe and legal manner.
Qualifications
* Experience in management or supervisory role within a retail environment.
* Lead by example, have a hands‑on approach and be able to manage, coach and motivate the team to maximise sales and profitability.
