At Eminox UK, we now seek to recruit a Plant Manger for our UK site. We are a manufacturing of exhausts, specialist pipes, silencers and exhaust aftertreatment systems and our other brands include remanufacturing and cleaning services to major OEMs highly technical thermal and acoustic insulation products.
The Plant Manager holds responsibility for all Operational team members and KPIs, as well as overall site responsibility. Leading 5 direct reports with a headcount on site of over 250.
Overview of duties
* Manage, motivate and develop direct and indirect reports
* Develop and drive engagement and empowerment activities across the operation Driving for world class team engagement
* Develop and lead a culture of Continuous Improvement site wide, delivering increased levels of engagement
* Work within the Sales and Operations Planning cycle to ensure the execution of plans in a cost effective method, maintaining and improving our GM performances
* Develop and execute strategies alongside the Management team
* Drive the development of business systems in order to eliminate waste from the manufacturing process and improve customer service
* Ensure continued compliance to IATF16949, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and 45001, 45003
* JIT delivery of products to demanding Global OEM customer base
* Facilitate delivery of requirements to all Business units, and value streams
* Budget responsibility for direct cost centers including CAPEX budget and execution within the plant
* Support the development of both internal and external customer relationships (customers and Eminox sites)
* Leading a best in class mindset in all functions
About You
* An accomplished Plant manager, spent within a similar environment, automotive manufacturing would be a distinctive advantage.
* Management and leadership in a fabrication and welding biased business
* Demonstrable experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team within a multi shift manufacturing environment
* Customer focused and results driven with a proven track record of building successful internal and external relationships
* Experience of working within Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental standard
* Experience working with, within, or supporting global manufacturing sites
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject, would be advantageous as would Engineering/Manufacturing based professional qualification
* Health and safety qualification e.g. IOSH
* An understanding of LEAN tools and techniques
