Overview
Job description: Nursery opening times 8:30am–6:00pm. Permanent, full-time, part-time and temporary staff considered.
Responsibilities
* Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
* Supervise children’s playtime, ensure safety, and encourage positive interactions among peers.
* Establish strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming nursery environment.
* Observe and assess children’s progress, document developmental milestones, and communicate findings with parents.
* Collaborate with other staff to plan and execute special events or programs.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while promoting hygiene practices among children.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
* A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
