Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Nursery Manager Term-Time at King David Nursery Elm Road, located in Erith. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, managing staff, and maintaining communication with parents and stakeholders.
Duties include day–to-day running and management; implementing the New Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS) and planning activities; record / book keeping and administration. Responsibilities include ensuring children are well cared for, providing a safe, warm, welcoming and stimulating environment and working within the Nursery's Policy and Procedures. Applicants must have the ability to communicate both written and verbal information to parents and staff appropriately. Ability to manage and delegate tasks to staff in a small team structure.
Successful applicants will be asked to provide an Enhanced DBS check and register with the DBS update service.
Hours: 30 hours per week, 8.00am – 3.00pm, Monday – Friday, Term Time
Pay: From £18,000.00 per year
Qualifications
* Safeguarding and Safeguarding Children skills
* Applicants must possess a minimum of Early Years level 3 qualification or equivalent OR ABOVE
* Must have minimum 1 year managerial experience in a Pre-School environment.
* Must also possess GCSE in English and Maths at minimum C grade.
* Nursery and Nursery Management expertise
* Experience in managing a nursery setting
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in early childhood education
* Strong leadership and organisational abilities
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field
