We are now looking to welcome a skilled and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to our team.
The Role
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in internal medicine or imaging to join us two days per week. The ideal candidate will already hold, or be working towards, a certificate in one of these areas. You should feel confident working sole charge, managing a varied caseload, and performing a range of routine surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in small animals.
* Perform routine surgeries such as neuters, lump removals, dentals, and soft tissue abdominal procedures.
* Carry out diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and ultrasound.
* Manage internal medicine cases, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate patient care.
* Communicate clearly with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care.
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
* Work independently when required, making sound clinical decisions.
* Engage in continuing education and keep up to date with veterinary advancements.
Requirements
* Interest and ability in internal medicine and/or imaging.
* Confident in performing routine surgeries.
* Comfortable working independently as well as within a team.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service.
