Salary: £32,916–£45,351 per annum (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)
The role
Heart of Supply is seeking an experienced Chemistry Teacher to join a welcoming, mid-sized secondary school in Lincoln on a full-time supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chemistry specialist to inspire curiosity and a love of science while enjoying the variety and flexibility that supply teaching offers.
As a Chemistry Teacher you will be teaching across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that spark enthusiasm for Chemistry. The school is known for its nurturing culture and strong sense of community, providing a supportive environment for both staff and students.
As a Chemistry Teacher, you’ll be confident managing a classroom, quick to build rapport and adaptable to new environments. Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, professionalism and consistency to every lesson.

What you’ll need
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a solid track record of classroom experience within UK secondary schools
* Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and ideally KS5)
* Confidence to step into new settings and deliver lessons effectively with minimal handover or preparation time
* Excellent behaviour management and the ability to maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment where all students can succeed
* A passion for science education, encouraging curiosity and enthusiasm for Chemistry through hands-on learning and real-world examples
* Strong communication skills to establish routines quickly, build positive rapport, and collaborate effectively with colleagues
* A flexible, organised approach and the ability to adapt seamlessly to different school cultures and expectations
* An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
