1Click Logistics Ltd is seeking a driven, accountable and reliable On-Site Manager (OSM) to oversee daily delivery operations within our fast-paced logistics environment.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role suited to an individual who thrives in a performance-led setting. Weekend availability is essential as part of the operational rota.
This is a self-employed position, operating under a services agreement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own tax and National Insurance contributions.
Role Overview
The OSM will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of delivery drivers, ensuring operational readiness, compliance and consistent achievement of performance targets. You will act as the primary point of contact for drivers during live operations while maintaining professional communication with our delivery partner.
This role requires strong leadership presence, confidence in managing performance, and the ability to maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Daily supervision and management of delivery drivers
* Acting as the main escalation point for driver queries and on-road issues
* Managing dispatch, route coverage and overall operational flow
* Liaising directly with the delivery partner to maintain service standards
* Managing rotas, staffing levels and weekend coverage
* Monitoring and driving key performance metrics and operational KPIs
* Conducting performance discussions and addressing underperformance where required
* Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, vehicle standards and operational policies
* Supporting continuous improvement across service quality and efficiency
Candidate Profile
* Reliable and flexible, with mandatory weekend availability
* Strong leadership presence and confident decision-making ability
* Experience managing teams in a target-driven logistics or transport environment
* Comfortable working under pressure in a live operational setting
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Previous experience in delivery operations, logistics or transport management preferred
