Overview
Chef de Partie located at Handcross Park School, Handcross Village, near Handcross, West Sussex. Working weeks: 46 weeks plus 4 weeks holiday. Salary: £35,000 per annum. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our catering team at Handcross Park School, part of the Brighton College Group. Experience in an education setting is preferred but not essential. The role is suitable for someone looking to develop their career in a supportive, daytime-hours environment within the independent education sector.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and present high-quality meals for pupils, staff, and guests
* Work closely with the Head Chef on menu planning and kitchen operations

Transport Information
Due to the school’s location near Handcross village (close to Horsham and Gatwick), own transport is necessary. There is no public bus service to the site. Candidates without their own transport are advised to consider this before applying.

Job Details
* What will keep you busy: assist the Head Chef/Sous Chef in kitchen operations and maintain the company’s reputation for food quality
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Head Chef/Manager
* Contribute to the development and planning of menus, including future food trends and development of new styles of service
* Support Manager with stock taking when required
* Carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section
Qualifications
* Leaving Cert level education or above
* NVQ qualification at minimum level 2
* Successful progressive background in catering
* Real passion for food and customer service
* Flair and innovation with menus and food presentation
* Good listening skills
