Sales & Events Manager - Remote with Regular Travel to London & Newcastle Job Type: Remote/WFH - Regular travel to London and Newcastle Reporting to - National Operations Manager Job Overview - The Sales and Events Manager is responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales, client relationship management, and the planning and execution of events. This role ensures the successful coordination of events from concept to completion, while consistently meeting client expectations and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Sales and Business Development Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, private, and public sectors. Respond promptly to all event and group booking enquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing detailed information and tailored proposals to potential clients Develop and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales pitches and presentations. Meet and exceed sales targets. Event Planning and Execution Manage the full lifecycle of events, including initial enquiry, planning, logistics, event coordination, and post-event evaluation. Liaise with clients to determine their requirements, objectives, and budgets Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver seamless event experiences. Ensure all health and safety, licensing, and risk assessment protocols are adhered to. Marketing and Promotion Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and materials for events. Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events. Administration and Reporting Maintain accurate records of sales, leads, and event budgets. Produce regular reports on sales performance and event ROI. Monitor competitor activity and market trends. Skills & Experience Proven track record in sales and event management, preferably within Leisure or Hospitality. Strong organisational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including a good level of spoken English. Proficiency in using CRM systems, event management software, and standard office applications Deployment You will work 5 days out of 7 with weekend work from time to time. Visit each venue as a minimum once per quarter. Plan visits to coincide with GM & ROM being on site where possible. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work. Be available as required to assist with new openings. Report weekly and be available for video calls and meetings as required. Working as part of the management team to promote the Activate brand. As with many roles, you will be required from time to time to work above and beyond your contracted hours owing to the demand of the business, our guests and team members.
