About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join dynamic secondary schools in the Walsall area. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator with a strong background in DT to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Role Responsibilites:
* Plan and deliver high-quality, creative, and engaging DT lessons.
* Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on raising attainment and promoting a love of design and innovation.
* Assess, record and report on student progress in line with school policy.
* Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum and participate in departmental planning and activities.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment in line with health and safety regulations.
* Engage with parents, staff and the wider school community to support pupil progress and well-being.
* Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Specialism or significant experience in Design and Technology.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
* A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
