To carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner, maintaining documentation of all works carried out in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.
The role involves working to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client’s premises.
Responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring and managing van stock to ensure sufficient supplies for daily maintenance.
2. Performing inspections and monitoring the safety of repaired and maintained trucks.
3. Accurately completing job sheets, timesheets, purchase requisitions, and parts paperwork within required timescales.
4. Taking responsibility for all equipment and tooling (including van, laptop, tablet, etc.) ensuring they are in safe condition for the work undertaken.
5. Working to strict schedules and deadlines.
Candidates should have knowledge of at least one of the following areas, with willingness to undergo additional training:
* Mechanical engineering
* Electrical engineering
Essential qualities include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, good communication skills, high standards of work, and adherence to timescales.
We seek someone who can be product trained and immediately take on the Engineer Service role.
Person Specification
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proficient in fault finding and repair.
* Achieved at least a grade C in English and maths at GCSE.
* Experience with Health & Safety requirements in a workshop environment.
* Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
* Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, and solution-driven attitude.
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads to meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Clear oral and written communication skills.

* Recent relevant experience in forklift truck service is advantageous but not essential.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Company Vehicle:
A company van and fuel card are provided, with optional private use (tax applicable). The current vehicle is a Ford Transit Custom.
