As a Transport Managerbased in Darlington, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Leading the transport team to deliver safe, efficient, and on-time services for our customers.
2. Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and company policies while promoting a positive safety culture.
3. Managing route planning, driver scheduling, and real-time vehicle tracking to optimise performance.
4. Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to maintain service excellence.
5. Driving improvements in fleet utilisation, cost control, and operational standards.
The role is full-time, working hours a week, Monday - Friday.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
6. Proven experience in a Transport Manager role with strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance.
7. Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport (CPC) is desirable.
8. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in performance management and coaching.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
10. Knowledge of FORS and Earned Recognition standards, plus experience in collision investigation processes.
