Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employs around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This position requires a current, active NMC PIN number; applicants without it will not be shortlisted. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive, specialist nursing services for clients experiencing First Episode Psychosis within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Responsibilities include leading partnership efforts within the mental health network, both internally and externally, and managing clinical governance activities such as monitoring care standards, staff support, ongoing professional development, practice education, clinical supervision, and policy implementation.
The role involves managing a community caseload and supervising Support Workers and students within the nursing team. The aim is to promote recovery by maximizing engagement, family involvement, reducing symptoms, minimizing hospital stays and use of the mental health act, decreasing incidents of self-harm, increasing satisfaction, expanding intervention options, and improving social functioning to reduce stigma and support service user integration into everyday life.
