Dental Receptionist – Fixed Term
Riverdale Healthcare – Devonshire House
Position: Fixed term contract up to 12 months – Start ASAP
Hours: 37 hours per week on a rota basis – Across 4 days a week with 1 Saturday per month
Start Time: 07:45hrs – Finish Time: 18:15hrs
About The Role
The first point of contact for patients and visitors, setting the tone for high‑quality care. A varied and rewarding role within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth and care.
* Handle telephone and email enquiries.
* Book, adjust and manage patient appointments accurately.
* Ensure patient information is up‑to‑date and handled confidentially.
* Take payments and issue receipts.
* Send appointment reminders and courtesy calls.
* Support patients with necessary paperwork.
* Work closely with clinicians, nurses and the reception team.
* Assist with day‑to‑day administration and record‑keeping.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, welcoming reception area.
* Report any concerns to Reception Management Team.
* Support operational efficiency and appointment book management.
What We’re Looking For
* Friendly, calm and professional.
* Confident communicator with a great telephone manner.
* Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage a busy front desk.
* Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office.
* Proactive and strong team player.
* Experience using a booking system.
* Experience in a healthcare or dental setting essential.
