Role Overview
We are seeking a Materials Lab Support Technician to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Materials Laboratory. Working closely with the Materials Engineer, you will support testing, analysis, and general laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain analytical laboratory instruments
2. Conduct routine chemical, mechanical, and thermal testing, recording accurate results
3. Perform visual inspection of product samples, identifying defects and recording dimensional data
4. Carry out basic calculations (e.g. concentrations, percentage deviation) and compile data reports
5. Manage laboratory consumables, including stock control, distribution, and rotation
6. Set up, dismantle, clean, and store laboratory apparatus and glassware
7. Maintain a clean, organised, and safety-conscious laboratory environment
