Treehouse Educare are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their new opening home located in a beautiful location in Horsham West Sussex.
We are looking for a support worker to provide a needs led service to children by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring a firm, caring, consistent, well ordered environment is maintained at all times
* Supervising children and young people before and after the school day including meal times
* To actively promote and participate in care planning, developing risk assessments, behaviour management and to attend regular team meetings.
* Accompanying children and young people on recreational activities and demonstrating positive role modelling.
* Liaising with other staff, professionals, parents and carers as necessary and maintaining high levels of professionalism at all times.
* To maintain a log of all accidents, incidents or physical intervention and to challenge suspected inappropriate practice according to policies and procedures.
You will be able to:
* To be innovative, creative and flexible, and has an open mind and a willingness to learn.
* Able to demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, self-awareness and acceptance of others.
* Maintain confidentiality.
* To act as a positive role model at all times.
* Attend training on a regular basis to ensure that all mandatory and personal training and development needs are met in line with company requirements.
