Overview
Transport Team Lead St Albans 55.5 hours, working Monday to Friday for around 10 hours a day, with 5 hours on a Saturday £12.98. We’re looking for a Team Lead to join our St Albans Depot. In this role you will be the link between the supervisors and warehouse staff providing immediate hands-on leadership and supervision ensuring maximum effort and attention to detail in a safe and tidy environment.
Responsibilities
* Act as the link between supervisors and warehouse staff, providing hands-on leadership and supervision to ensure maximum effort and attention to detail in a safe and tidy environment.
* Coordinate, prioritise and delegate transport activities.
* Manage staff hours, sickness and holidays to help ensure no detriment to operations.
* Motivate and develop staff to maximise productivity and efficiency.
* Check, load, and deliver customer orders on predetermined routes utilising Asset Tracking Devices.
* Ensure products are transported under correct conditions, maintaining temperature, cleanliness and security.
* Carry out all required safety checks on allocated vehicle and equipment.
* Stand and walk for the majority of the shift; ability to lift products up to 15 kg, bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

* Full Driving Licence, valid in the UK.
* Proven multi-drop driving experience.
