AP Executive are delighted to offer a Head of Tax opportunity for a private family office based in Jersey. In this role you will lead with strategic vision of Jersey, UK and international tax and wealth planning reporting to an UHNW family. This position requires a UK qualified ACA, ACCA or CTA accountant with a minimum of 7 years PQE gained as a senior private client tax accountant for a financial services company or reputable accountancy firm. The role will manage complex private taxation matters while maintaining excellence in service.
Managing a team, you will be delivering expert guidance and ensuring seamless outcomes for family members. Lean on your expertise and technical knowledge of Jersey, UK and international tax issues including reporting requirements plus tax risks and issues.
You must be able to work independently and at times handle multiple projects and work to deadlines. To be eligible for this role you must be a UK qualified accountant with excellent private client and family tax experience, a professional trust qualification like STEP or ICSA would be beneficial but not essential. Possess tax strategies and navigate complex tax risk and compliance to provide solutions which align with our clients long term goals.
Act as a director of private trustee companies for several family trusts. Attend formal meetings of the trustees which are all held in Jersey. There will be a need for some overseas travel to meet with the beneficiaries of the trusts held outside of the UK. Maintain up to date knowledge of international and local tax legislations.
