As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ problem-solving, design, and practical skills across a range of DT disciplines. This role offers flexible day-to-day and long-term opportunities, ideal for teachers who enjoy hands-on teaching and inspiring creativity. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum. Teach across relevant DT specialisms such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Graphics. Support students in developing practical, technical, and creative skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental objectives. Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop or classroom environment. Assess student work and provide constructive feedback. Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement. DT Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology. Experience teaching DT in UK schools is desirable. Excellent classroom and workshop management skills. Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
