Electrical Building Services Engineer – Oxford Area
An established building services consultancy in the Oxford area is looking to appoint an Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. The Role
You’ll join the electrical team in the Oxford area, delivering projects from early-stage concepts through to completion. The role focuses on producing high-quality electrical design and providing technical expertise within the built environment.
Key responsibilities:
Delivering projects to high technical standards, on programme and within budget
Producing detailed designs, drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
Liaising with clients to understand briefs, budgets and design requirements
Reviewing tenders, preparing technical reports and supporting recommendations
Managing site activities, monitoring progress and assisting with final accounts
Carrying out site surveys, inspections and producing condition reports
Preparing technical documentation, presentations and supporting reports
Coordinating with other disciplines on electrical distribution and building systems
Staying informed on legislation, building regulations, CIBSE guidance and best practice
Some projects may require background or security checks.

What They’re Looking For
Degree or Master’s in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
Working towards or already holding membership with a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE)
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Strong understanding of building regulations, CIBSE standards and industry guidance
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Passion for delivering efficient, practical and innovative design solutions
