Working Hours: 2 Shift Pattern
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
* Play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of all factory equipment.
* Your responsibilities will focus on electrical fault finding, planned and reactive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* You’ll also be responsible for recording downtime and key performance indicators (KPIs) in company systems, so attention to detail and data accuracy is vital.
Main Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
* Commission and install new electrical systems and equipment across the factory.
* Carry out routine preventative and planned maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of machinery.
* Respond quickly to and resolve electrical breakdowns, implementing solutions to minimise downtime.
* Accurately complete all maintenance records and documentation.
* Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
* Build effective relationships with internal teams and liaise with external contractors when required.
* Work safely, adhering to company and statutory health & safety guidelines.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Relevant electrical maintenance qualification (HNC/HND/ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, with expertise in fault finding and troubleshooting.
* Experience working with PLCs, control panels, and automated systems is highly advantageous.
* Skilled in carrying out both reactive maintenance and implementing structured PM schedules.
* Good understanding of data collection for downtime and performance monitoring.
* Exposure to continuous improvement projects is desirable.
