Role Overview: Technical Project Manager (HEP UK) ​ As Technical Project Manager, you'll drive a portfolio of strategic, cross-functional initiatives focused on technology, systems, and process improvements to support HEP UK's digital transformation. You'll work at the intersection of project leadership, technical delivery, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring every solution is aligned with business goals and delivers measurable impact. Role-Specific Accountabilities Lead delivery of strategic projects across HEP UK, with a focus on digital solutions, system integrations, and process automation Apply best-fit project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, Waterfall) based on project scope and complexity Create and manage key project documentation: charters, roadmaps, and technical workstreams Collaborate with tech and data teams on solution architecture, integration design, and delivery milestones Oversee full project lifecycle: development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and technical dependencies Manage change control, support training and adoption of new systems or processes Maintain accurate, up-to-date project dashboards and reporting tools aligned with stakeholder needs Key Responsibilities Scope and initiate high-impact tech-focused projects, with clear KPIs, milestones, and resourcing plans Work closely with third-party vendors and partners to ensure seamless delivery Lead both agile ceremonies and structured governance, including sprints, retrospectives, and steering groups Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and ensure alignment across academic, commercial, and product teams Track and report on progress via Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms Provide regular project updates to the CEO, HEP UK SLT, and other senior stakeholders Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI Ensure all solutions deliver real business value and improve operational effectiveness Key Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in managing digital/technical projects (e.g., platform launches, system implementations) Strong grasp of Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, or hybrid project methodologies Proficient in tools like Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Azure DevOps Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), CRM systems, APIs, and enterprise IT Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts Highly analytical, with sharp problem-solving skills and attention to detail Background in education, EdTech, or digital learning environments is a plus Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) preferred Experience with generative AI and delivering AI-powered solutions is a strong advantage.
