About the Role:
At Robert Half we are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a dynamic and fast paced tech business based in Manchester. This is a critical interim hire to support the Finance function through a period of transition and growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing strategic financial leadership, partnering closely with senior stakeholders, and ensuring robust financial controls and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the day to day finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
* Act as a trusted business partner to the executive leadership team, providing insightful analysis and financial guidance to support decision-making.
* Manage and mentor a small finance team, driving performance and continuous improvement.
* Oversee cash flow management and working capital optimisation.
* Maintain and enhance internal controls, processes, and systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Support in preparation for investor and board reporting.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed.
* Assist with strategic projects including systems upgrades, process improvements, and potential M&A activity.
Key Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Demonstrated team leadership and people development experience.
* Ideally, experience working within or alongside private equity-backed businesses.
* Available immediately.
