An opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Department as part of the Management Accounts and Business Partnering Team, supporting the Faculty of Technology, playing a part to ensure that the University achieves its future strategic aims.
The successful applicant should have a personable, professional approach. The post holder will be required to provide clear support and advice, to guide budget holders on financial decision making, including budgeting, costing and pricing. This will require a confident ability to discuss finance with both finance staff and non-financial budget holders throughout all areas of the University. The post holder will support the Faculty with their significant Research and Innovation portfolio, both at pre and post award.
The role would suit applicants who are highly motivated, and able to work with enthusiasm under pressure, and to tight deadlines, whilst demonstrating the Hallmarks of a Portsmouth University employee.
Location: Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, some hybrid working is available for this role.

Salary Information: New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
