Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join their precision manufacturing company, based in Willenhall. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent pay, overtime, and generous holiday entitlement. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating a range of CNC machinery to deliver high-quality components to exacting standards.
Responsibilities
* Program, set, and operate CNC machines (primarily 5-axis) using Hypermill (preferred) or Powermill CAM software.
* Work across a variety of CNC machinery, including:
o 3 x 5-axis Matsuura machines (Fanum controllers).
o 3 x Mazak machines (Mazatrol controllers).
o 4 x Bridgeport machines (Heidenhain controllers).
o 1 x CMS machine (proprietary controller).
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce accurate, high-quality components.
* Ensure efficient machining processes, maintaining tight tolerances and surface finishes.
* Carry out machine maintenance, tool setting, and troubleshooting.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to health and safety policies at all times.
Skills & Experience
* Proven CNC programming and operating experience (5-axis preferred).
* Hypermill CAM experience highly desirable, although Powermill will be considered.
* Strong knowledge of Fanum, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, or equivalent controllers.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small, skilled team.
* Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
Additional Information
* Hours: 37 hours per week
* Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 16:30
* Friday, 07:30 – 12:30
* Pay: Subject to experience of candidate
* Overtime available at time and one-third rate
* Holidays: 37 days including Bank Holidays
