MAINTENANCE SURVEYOR / MANAGER
Based in Midlands | National Travel Required
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Surveyor / Manager to join a leading leisure operator with a diverse UK-wide estate, ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 sq. ft. sites. This company is renowned for its commitment to maintaining high standards across its properties, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for staff and customers. The Maintenance Surveyor / Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding the business through property maintenance and compliance, making this a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to make a significant impact.
The Maintenance Surveyor / Manager will oversee the coordination and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across the UK estate. The role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple contractors and ensuring all sites are maintained to high standards.
Responsibilities Include:
* Lead the coordination and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across the UK estate.
* Manage primary and secondary maintenance contractors to ensure effective service delivery.
* Conduct regular checks on completed works to ensure compliance with standards.
* Develop and maintain relationships with preferred suppliers to ensure quality across maintenance works.
* Forecast and manage budgets, reporting monthly on performance against budget.
Skills and Attributes:
* A Degree / HNC or equivalent in Building Surveying / Construction, ideally with a professional qualification (RICS / CIOB or similar).
* Detailed knowledge of building construction and sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations.
* Proven experience in maintenance roles within leisure, hospitality, or retail environments.
* Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
