Hotel Manager £55k Berkshire Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of a stunning event venue destination near Slough. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to providing outstanding guest services. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing hotel staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of service. Duties We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Hotel Venue Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our hotel's event and function spaces. This role involves the coordination of events, supervision of venue staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences from inquiry to execution. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record in managing venues or event spaces within a hotel or hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of all hotel venues, including conference rooms, ballrooms, banquet halls, and event spaces. Coordinate with sales, catering, and marketing teams to drive bookings and maximize venue utilization. Oversee event planning, set-up, execution, and breakdown processes in alignment with client expectations and hotel standards. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering prompt, professional, and personalized service to clients and guests. Supervise and train venue staff, including event coordinators, setup crews, and AV technicians. Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Monitor inventory and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and well-maintained. Enforce health, safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with legal and hotel standards. Handle guest feedback, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with other hotel departments such as Food & Beverage, Front Office, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless event experiences. Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience in a venue, banquet, or event management role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events or tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in event management software (Opera) and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Preferred Skills & Attributes: Knowledge of current event trends and ability to implement creative solutions. Experience with sales strategies and revenue management. Familiarity with AV systems and banquet operations. Passion for delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences.
