Administrator

Location: Grays

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 (DOE)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to provide essential support to our busy Sales Team within the building trade. This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for customers and suppliers, handling enquiries, preparing quotations, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Providing administrative support to the Sales Team
* Handling incoming calls and email enquiries from customers and suppliers
* Preparing and issuing quotations accurately and efficiently
* Processing orders and maintaining accurate records
* Using SAGE software for invoicing, quotations, and account administration (preferred)
* Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, stock availability, and delivery times
* Managing general office administration duties
* Maintaining customer records and updating internal systems
* Supporting the wider team to ensure excellent customer service delivery

Skills & Experience Required

* Previous administrative experience (essential)
* Experience within the building trade or similar industry (highly desirable)
* Experience preparing quotations
* Working knowledge of SAGE (preferred)
* Strong telephone manner and customer service skills
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
* Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office
