This is a part-time role, with a pro-rata salary based on hours worked.
If you are enthusiastic about working with children and interested in a role within an Early Learning and Childcare Centre, then the Early Years Assistant position may be ideal for you.
Working collaboratively as part of the Early Years team, your responsibilities will include supervising children during lunch and carrying out laundry duties within the establishment.
Experience working with children aged 0–5 in an early years or school environment is essential. You should possess strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a friendly yet firm approach. The ability to work independently and follow instructions from the Head of the Establishment is also required.
You must be flexible and available to work from 10:50 am to 2:00 pm Monday to Thursday and from 10:50 am to 2:10 pm on Fridays, or as defined by the Head of Establishment.
Please note that you will be required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme before starting this role.
Requirements
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020. Membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details can be found here.
Preferred applicants will need to join the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer is made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
