A career in our Accounting Services Group practice, within Assurance Support services, will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients by providing advice and counsel on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues. In joining, you'll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. You'll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and established audit clients and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.Our team provides advice and counsel on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues using US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards frameworks. You'll work on both local and global engagements and keep PwC teams informed about accounting and financial reporting developments that might affect engagements through issuing communications and through curated trainings. You'll also assist with developing and communicating PwC's point of view to internal and external parties as needed.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced IFRS person to join our team, with the enthusiasm to get involved and a willingness to learn. You will be joining the GAQ-CRS (Global Assurance Quality - Corporate Reporting Services team - formerly known as Global ACS Central team), part of Global Assurance Quality, which is currently based in Embankment Place, co-located with other parts of global assurance.
Activities :
1. Provide year-round, dedicated technical accounting support to the CRS (Corporate Reporting Services) network teams around the world;
2. Contribute to IFRS thought leadership and knowledge management
3. Help shape the future of accounting standards by leading response letters to standard setters on discussion papers and exposure drafts.
4. Support the network roll out of vital quality systems like Viewpoint and Consult, as well as working on the rollout of new technology solutions
5. Respond to consultations and enquiries from CRS teams across the network, providing guidance on the most complex and high-profile accounting issues in conjunction with partners in the team;
6. Review financial statements of high-profile clients
About the role
7. Enhance Relationship skills - We are connected to the various CRS teams around the world. You will develop an extensive network of senior contacts across the firm as well as interact with partners and directors on a daily basis and gain unique insight as to how the network applies IFRS
8. Develop problem solving skills - We are faced with a diverse range of accounting challenges from across the world every day. You will build advanced analytical skills that can also be applied beyond solving technical issues.
9. Build Leadership skills - We are driving the network's views. You will be contributing to our responses to exposure drafts and discussion papers, managing differing viewpoints and building consensus, and draft thought leadership pieces
10. Help shape the direction of travel - We are at the forefront of the IFRS accounting developments. You will have exposure to, and interactions with, standard setters and regulators.
11. Become an expert - We are dealing with the most complex technical accounting issues. You will further develop your knowledge of IFRS and the practical issues preparers face in applying accounting guidance.
Requirements
12. A good working knowledge of international financial reporting standards.
13. Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and find creative solutions to complex issues.
14. Strong influencing and team working skills with both peers and senior individuals, a passion for communication
15. A willingness to challenge points of views and opinion, through presenting logical arguments.
16. Assertive, flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with a desire for learning.
17. Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, be flexible and recognise changing priorities.
