Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of the warehouse, maintaining a safe, efficient, and organised space.
* Oversee stock control, including accurate inventory tracking and optimisation to support fast-paced event deliveries.
* Plan and coordinate the maintenance, testing, cleaning, and preparation of kit and equipment to ensure everything is event-ready, using the asset control software.
* Manage the arrival, loading, and dispatch of trucks and shipping containers, adhering to tight schedules for international events.
* Lead and motivate the small warehouse team, managing workloads and fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
* Plan and recruit casual staff during peak busy periods to handle increased demands.
* Handle the receiving of new stock, ensuring proper recording, tagging, and integration into our stock control systems.
* Oversee stock control and provide regular reports to senior management on stock accuracy and dispatch times.
* Identify opportunities within the warehouse for process and efficiency improvements.
Person Specification
We're looking for a proactive leader who is passionate about their work and excited by the energy of live events. Essential requirements include:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience running a busy warehouse, with a proven track record in delivering time-sensitive projects.
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the post and the ability to thrive in a hands-on, challenging environment.
* Demonstrated success in managing teams, motivating staff, and maintaining high standards under pressure.
* Strong proficiency in online communication tools such as email, cloud-based calendars, online chat platforms, and project management software (e.g., Teamwork, Microsoft Teams, Current).
* Willingness and ability to quickly learn new software systems as needed.
* Experience in the events sector is highly desirable but not essential—we value transferable skills from logistics or warehousing backgrounds.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and take immense pride in contributing to world-class events.
