We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person, with a keen interest in the care of the older person, to join our team on the Whalton Unit. The Whalton Unit is based on Ward 5 at Wansbeck General Hospital.
The Whalton Unit is a 22-bedded in-patient ward which provides care, treatment, and rehabilitation to the older person.
The post is fully rotational between dayshift and nightshift, and includes working weekends and public holidays.

* Undertakes a range of delegated clinical and care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.

* To provide safe and high-quality care to patients/clients.
* Undertakes a limited range of delegated clinical care duties, relevant to the services provided/work area, such as recording patient observations (e.g., blood pressure, blood glucose monitoring).
* Wound observations.
* Removal of peripheral cannulae.
* Urinalysis.
* Aids with personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility needs under direct or indirect supervision.
* To promote patient/client health.
