Hotel Reception Manager

Base pay range: £28,194.00 + benefits. Payroll will reflect your skills and experience.

Imperial London Hotels has operated hotels in Central London for over 180 years, currently managing seven 3‑ and 4‑star hotels. The Royal National Hotel is the UK’s largest hotel with over 1,600 rooms. (Brief summary.)


About the Role

We are recruiting a Reception Manager at the Royal National Hotel. You will work with a reception team and 2 other managers to deliver a memorable guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

* Support Front Office Management team in delivering quality service, holding regular team meetings to agree on operational focus, KPI and targets.
* Handle guest complaints promptly and ensure satisfactory resolution.
* Collect guest satisfaction data and develop improvement plans.
* Ensure the front desk provides professional and friendly service.
* Schedule staff rotations and provide cover as needed.
* Recruit, onboard, and develop front‑of‑house team members.


Qualifications & Experience

* Previous experience as a Reception Supervisor or Front‑of‑House supervisor.
* Passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
* Commercial focus with ability to maximise profits; knowledge of budgets, P&L, forecasting desirable.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport.
* Organised multitasker capable of prioritising workload.
* Leadership skills to motivate staff.
* Positive, calm under pressure; able to work independently and in a team.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation systems (Opera).
