Vice President – Private Wealth Management (PWM) – London
Position is part of the Asset & Wealth Management division. The role supports Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) in business development, client acquisition, and retention. It focuses on delivering wealth planning and wealth structuring solutions to UK-based ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients.
Your Impact
* Deliver on the wealth planning and family office strategy for current and prospective PWM clients in the UK.
* Act as a senior subject matter expert on tax planning, estate planning, life insurance, immigration, asset protection, family governance and philanthropy, advising individuals and families.
* Provide integrated wealth planning solutions by collaborating with Private Wealth Advisors, Investment Strategy Group, Market Solution Group, Lending and other internal constituencies.
* Collaborate with trustees, attorneys, accountants, and professional service providers to achieve clients' wealth planning objectives.
* Contribute to GSFO thought leadership, presenting internal educational sessions, participating in or hosting client events.
Qualifications
* 8‑10+ years of experience in tax, legal, or private banking/private wealth services working with ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients.
* Expertise in UK trust and estate legislation and tax implications of investment portfolios, estate planning entities, and philanthropic entities.
* Cross‑border planning expertise, including U.S. and other jurisdictions.
* Track record of managing client relationships with individuals and families.
* Experience interfacing with trustees, attorneys, accountants, insurance brokers, and other advisors.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
* Resourceful, self‑starter, detail‑oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
* Experience presenting to internal and external audiences.
* Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity. Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or qualified UK solicitor/lawyer or CPA/chartered accountant preferred.
* Familiarity with U.S. cross‑border wealth planning and insurance planning is advantageous but not required.
