Futures is partnering with a long-established manufacturing organisation that is looking to strengthen its delivery capability by appointing a Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of operational and engineering-led projects. This is an autonomous, business-facing role where you’ll take responsibility for planning, coordinating, and delivering multiple projects across the site. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams, playing a key role in driving improvement and supporting the ongoing development of the facility. Rather than sitting within a large programme or PMO, this position offers genuine ownership. You’ll manage projects end to end, balance competing priorities, and adapt your approach to suit a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. Roles & Responsibilities Managing a varied portfolio of projects from concept through to delivery Supporting process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives Coordinating machinery upgrades, equipment installation, and site changes Leading capital investment projects, working with internal teams and external suppliers Managing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business objectives The Ideal Candidate Proven experience delivering projects within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment Comfortable working across multiple workstreams and managing several live projects at once Able to operate independently, with confidence to make decisions and influence stakeholders Strong organisational skills with a practical, solutions-focused mindset Technically curious, with the ability to engage with engineers, suppliers, and operational teams This role would suit a Project Manager who enjoys variety, responsibility, and visibility, and who prefers working close to operations rather than within a highly structured corporate PMO.
