Job Title: Year 6 Teaching Assistant (KS2)
Location: Blackburn
Contract: Until July, with potential to continue in September
Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break
Scale: Level 2
Are you a passionate and supportive Teaching Assistant looking for your next role? We're working with a friendly primary school in Blackburn who are looking for a Year 6 TA to join their team on a contract basis until July - with a good chance of it continuing in September.
In this role, you'll be working closely with the class teacher to support children as they prepare for their end-of-year SATs. It's a great opportunity to make a real difference at a key stage in their learning journey.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting the Year 6 teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
Working with small groups and individual pupils to help with literacy, numeracy, and general learning
Helping pupils stay engaged, focused, and positive
Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation
Encouraging progress and confidence in pupils
